SPI, a world leader in sales force improvement, wanted to reinvent the legacy approach to sales training, and develop a fundamentally new model, or “standard” for sales talent development and enablement – with a focus on real behavior change and effectiveness.

The vision was to create a data-driven, cloud based platform to help their customers precisely assess sales competency levels by role, execute focused learning plans to close gaps, and support their daily “in the field” behavior. In addition, the platform needed to incorporate analytics to demonstrate how talent development efforts impact actual sales metrics.

Shiny Creek worked with SPI to understand their unique competency-based sales improvement model, and bring to life a SaaS offering that first identifies gaps, then guides salespeople through focused training and sales enablement to improve sales performance.

Shiny Creek leveraged an Agile development process to iteratively deliver features in a way that allows for fast development speed, while providing a safe environment for existing customers. The entire application is cloud-based and runs on multiple servers to provide stability and reliability.
